does anybody know if a set of factory 1987 center bolt magnesium valve covers from a corvette would fit a stock 305 engine with center bolt valve covers. would there be any differences in the mounting surface in the cover and/or the head. Im wanting to put them on mine to match the silver colored tuned port, it would blend well. anybody got any info on if they will fit let me know please.

IIRC all of the centerbolt valve covers are the same, or interchangablie. (less of course the LSX series) I think even the Vortec valve covers are the same.

Keep in mind that the 1987 & 1988 valve covers are slightly different as the breather locations for the PCV (on the LH head) and the breather tube on the RH are in different locations than the 1989 & up.

In 1987 & 1988 the breather tube is on the RH REAR side, and the PCV on the Left head is in the front, the Filler is on the LEFT rear. Starting in

Starting in 1989 I think the RH FRONT has the breather tube and the PVC is located at the rear of the LH valve cover and the oil filler is on the LH Front. go fig.
