my 1986 trans am doesnt have an rpo codes sheet.


im the third owner and have already been through the whole car through customization and restoration.


id like to use the sites rpo decoder but no codes to input. my camaro has the sheet under the center lid. but my trans am is clean as a whistle.

not even a spot where it was peeled off.


in my camaro there were an additional sheets of information hidden at the factory under the carpet.

my trans am was clean under the carpet.


any suggestions with those of you with the history knowledge of 80s trans ams

 

pontiac historical society might be able to help you out...it's like $50 i've been told, but with your vin you should be able to get your RPOs...i'll connect you to the link in a minute, it's in another thread.

this is another thread just started recently, it has the link for the PHS and a little historical information you might be interested in. I've also seen the sticker put in the rear glove box. Good luck!

 

iF i may ask, where under the carpets was that second sticker in the camaro??? I've got the interior stripped on my bird and i can't find anything for the life of me pertaining to my vehicle.

 

You can get a copy of the original dealer invoice from Pontiac Historical Services(www.phs-online.com) It will have all cost options, along with the prices, and the name of the original receiving dealer. You also get a large packet of additional info. The cost just got bumped up to $50 last May.

 

in my bare to the bones base model 1987 camaro v6 5spd had 1 sheet under the rear carpet and one under the front carpet where the rear driver mat would be.

also i had the regular sticker under the center lid with the rpo codes.

teh sheets under the carpet i dont remember what kidn of info i just remember it resembled vin and rpo codes along with other factory info.

but in my 1986 v8 trans am not single sheet of info hidden under the carpet or in the center console.

 

yea my v8 base bird has nothing, i've checked every crack and crevis (sp)
