Is this a good deal?
Found this on craigslist, I have a SUV that is worth about $4,000 and would LOVE to have a Thirdgen again:
I would like to trade for a good truck or SUV but I would take $2750 cash. I have a clear title in hand.
new front brake calibers, pads and rotors
new heater core
new alternator
new light switch
new front struts
new rear shocks
all tires are very good
normal small dents and dings
back bumper is crack on one corner as you can see in pic
a/c was updated last year, but i think it needs a new condenser
all glass is good
motor is 305 tbi
trans is auto with overdrive
trans shifts good under normal driving but when you floor it, it slips until you let off then shifts
I drive the car everyday with no problems
Is the 305 TBI a good motor, i was really looking for a 350, but if this is a good deal then i can deal with it.

Re: Is this a good deal?
NO! You didn't mention year, or miles, but my 1992 TBI 305 I paid $900 for with a good tranny in it! It does have a small dent to be repaired, as it sounds like this one does. And you know all the "new" stuff is stock junk (like Gabriel shocks, etc.).
$2750 is alot in my book - for that the tranny should be great, as well as paint and interior - but I guess it depends on what part of country, etc. I see 3rd gens around here for cheap and not so cheap - just depends on the day too I guess.
And, I'm tight!

Re: Is this a good deal?
Here is what i JUST found out:
1992, 134800 miles, tires have about 75% left, it is a RS model, seats are in great shape, no cuts, rips or any problem with seats. Pics confirm all is good on the car.
Once i found out it was an RS i figured HECK NO!! It is just so hard to find a good Camaro in Texas.
