There are misconceptions that 1LE cars were strippers...they weren't..but have you ever seen one with T-tops??

This car is in a Firebird book too.

Neat

Re: 1LE T-tops
This is the second one I have seen. I went and looked at one in person a couple years back. Same as the on in the link (strangely enough). Thought about buying it since it was odd. Glad I didn't ... since there is another one! :-)

Mark.

Re: 1LE T-tops
Yep sure could have TTOPs with the 1LE. I had money down on one but my dad pulled the plug at the last min... High Performance Pontiac or muscle car review did a test on a 91-92 (not sure of year) Yellow 305 5speed formula with TTOPs AND it HAD A/C !

I know for a fact they did a review of 350 Yellow 92 w/ T-tops ( would have been 92---no yellow in 91) No 1LEs were made with A/C from the factory

Too bad your dad quashed the deal!

It could be possible that a buyer had C&C Tops installed also

That may have been my friend Leo's 91/92 Trans Am 1LE (always forget the year). It had an aftermarket A/C installed on it before he bought the car.

Re: 1LE T-tops
I looked at the roadtest last night and it was a 1992 issue of Muscle car review. The car was a yellow 92 Formula 305 5sp. It DIDNOT have TTOPs (as i thought,im getin' old) it did have 1LE AND A/C. they had a pic of the window sticker and all.

I got the details of Leos T/A and this Formula mixed up.

I meet Leo at the T/A nat several years ago and I have pics of his car and mine together.
I have a diggi pic of his cool GM emissions decal he has under his hood. I almost have them done being reproduced.
PM me if there is anyway I can get his info to send him some pics of his car from the Nats. I have a shot of his car being dynoed also.
Leo gave me his info that day but it got lost on the 6hr drive home..

Re: 1LE T-tops
For 91 and 92 I believe you could have a 1LE and A/C if you also had:

B4C - police issue (was this for camaro only?)

B4U - 91/92 Firehawks
