Engine Identification
What do I look at on the motor to tell what year it is? Is there a stamping anywhere to tell this? Im just wondering if it is an 85 or an 86 motor.

There's better ways than stampings or codes. Better to look at the things that are actually DIFFERENT between them.
85 had a 2-pc rear main seal; 86 had a 1-pc.
