Heres a little interresting bit of info. I was browsing thru wikipedia today and looked up the thirdgen camaro. At the bottom of the page it lists all the motors that came in thirdgens. The last motor on the list is 1985-1992: 6.6L 400 L311 small block v8????? I know wikipedia is pretty untrustable but its still kinda interresting. Anyone ever even heard of an L311 or chevy makin any kind of 400 block after 1980? Just curious. Have fun with this 1.

 

That is so wrong it isn't even funny... even the RPO code has the wrong number of digits...

 

Only V8s' thirdgens came with was the 305 and 350. Also, 400s were only made from 1970 to 1980.

 

If I'm reading it correctly, if you look at the History tab, you can see the entry and IP address that added that:

21:05, 3 March 2008 65.27.121.82 (Talk) (19,782 bytes) (→Third-generation engines) (undo)

That 400 CID part was added yesterday, from the above IP address in northeast Wisconsin.

By the way, AmorgetRS fixed it

 

I know its wrong i just thought that maybe there was some <1% chance that maybe some high up chevy exec. got a custom thirdgen at some point and maybe they went and dug some old 400 out of some warehouse and stuck it in special for him.

Jut a neat thought but yea. Guess ill still havta build mine instead of startin a search for a stock 400 already in one

 

LOL, yes I did. I also added some other little things around the Camaro and Firebird wiki's, just filling in some RPOs and such.

Also, just because some GM exec may of had a 400 installed in a Camaro/Firebird does not mean it was "production" and it's VIN number would not have some different character for the engine.
