Restoration Engine Swap, is it worth it?
I currently own a 1985 berlinetta and it has the 2.8l v6. I have recently rebuilt the engine and had the transmission replaced. This spring i plan on finishing the body work and the interior. But before i do that, i was debating wether or not to replace the engine to something bigger. The propblem is that it would no longer be original and the fact that it was a v6 was what got it invited to a GM car show by one of the GM reps at my fathers plant. If i were to replace the engine after the money put into it, would it be worth doing or should i just go for keeping it original?

Its pretty much up to you what you want to do with it. I just swapped my blown 305 for a 350 and a few other goodies i added on earlier in the week. I dont really care about originality of my car, i just want something thats a little quick and a fun ride. However, if you do care about originality and such than keep it as it is. You said you just swapped in a rebuilt engine so id say keep that in there for a little bit seeing as it had to cost something to rebuild it.
