1988-90 Gold emblems needed
What's the chance that someone has both rocker emblems in Gold and also the rear bumper IROC-Z emblem in gold? Ive been searching and have not found a clean set yet. I am helping my neighbor restore a 1989 IROC-Z. While removing the bumper emblem, even carefully, the color seperated. The rocker emblems can probably be reused after some cleanup, but new is what I'm looking for. Any help is appreciated.
Also looking for a tan rear headliner panel that is not cracked or damaged screw holes. Thanks

Many colors are still available, except the gold. I contacted them and they don't have gold. There is a company doing them aftermarket. They advertise that they may not be perfect, but close. I am looking for clean originals if possible. If not, I'll get the repros.
I haven't checked the rear headliner panel from the dealer yet. I may need to look into that. My neighbpr had a shop replace the headliner years ago and they broke the panel. Just trying to help him out.

Scott, that's not as bad as my red GTA. Its rear headliner panel was broken when it was brand new and I was too dumb or lazy to get it replaced while it was still under the SIX YEAR - 100,000 mile Major Guard GM warranty.
I believe the GM pieces I got were either black or a charcoal gray color.... but the original cracked piece is still in the car right now. I know.... shame on me.

Scott, GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Those are all tough to find. Ask me how I know!
....the rocker emblems repros that I've seen are so close I couldn't tell the difference. Mine in fact are hand made! -by me of course. I work at a sign shop though....so it's kinda like cheating. Without comparing them side by side, you can't tell. For the money, unless you can find OE parts, repros are the way to go. They weren't available in gold when I made mine.
...as for the rear bumper, it took me over a year looking on ebay, and it's still only about 90% condition. No one else knows, but I know it's not perfect. Oh well.
...as for interior parts, I've seen GREAT results using interior paint on these plastic parts. I would've never tried it myself, but trust me, the stuff works.
Good luck!

OK, figured i'd check out the info i just gave ya, since it's actually been awhile since I've looked around.
There's a guy with a gold "set" of all 3 emblems, aftermarket of course, on ebay right now. They're printed ink on vinyl with an acrylic resin. I know exactly how these are made, and you have two problems. First off, the "IROC" logo has too many lines. It's not correct in appearance. Second, since it's printed, the gold has no metallic in it. It's basically just a real deep yellow/brown color. Quality wise, I see no problems.
Here's a set from Hawks:

As far as I can tell, the ONLY issue is that the original IROC is in fact two different gold. Darker at the top, lighter at the bottom (or vice versa). These are just ONE tone from top to bottom. Personally, that's good enough for me, but I know you, soooooo..............
Good Luck

Chris, it's not my car!! I'm helping my neighbor fix his up. He bought the car new in 89 and the Miami sun did it's damage to the paint and slightly faded the plastics. I restored his tail lights to a nice shine and he did the front parking lights. They aren't perfect but he's happy. His existing rocker emblems can probably be reused and attached with 3M tape. I'll try to clean those up. The rear bumper emblem seperated when he removed it so there are areas that the body color will show thru. The rear bumper is really all he needs. I'm trying to make his car look new again!! :-)

I just checked my classic industries cataloge. They have Dark GOLD rocker emblems for $39.00 a set, OEM... Which is news to me because I thought they were an inferior aftermarket source but they advertise them as OEM.
