I own an 86 IROC - bought it used a few years ago. I recently looked at the RPO sticker and the VIN's did not match ( SIGH ). I was able to contact a GM archive & vehicle invoice collection at Alled Vaughn and to my suprise they told me they could send me my original invoice / RPO data. The site address is vehicleinvoice@gmmediaarchive.com. So I have 2 questions. 1)has anyone ever used this to any success? It cost $50.00 dollars so any feedback would be nice. 2) Is the dmv.org search worth the money they want? Any help would welcomed.

 

Like many other member I'm sure, I did get one of the factory dealer invoices. It's a microfilm/fiche copy (poor print quality) that will list only factory options/standard stuff along with where delivered to and such. It will NOT list every RPO code that would normally be under your console, not that most of them aren't really needed anyway. But you probably find out more than you know now for your $50.

Up to you to decide if its worth it.
