91z28 b4c i believe i just bought one
bought a 91z28 last saturday to my understanding the car is an original 350 auto car. guy was selling it as a rs model which he thought it was based on the rs decals on the spoilers. ran the vin came back as a 91z28 350 auto which is why i jumped all over it, just opened my hatch for the first time and the rpo stickers shows b4c so im now thinking its a b4c package which would be so great, how can i verify any help, hoping that it is would make me real happy thanks

Have you decoded the vin? What else is on the sticker? How about rpo z28? 1le? Does the vin # on the sticker match the one on the car etc..

If RPO shows B4C, then I'd say that's what it is, unless there's the odd chance that someone changed the RPO sheet ... or a part with a different RPO sheet on it. I highly doubt that, though. Congrats!

yup rpo codes show b4c i also doubt anyone would ever swap that latch door, i've only had the car a few days but the spoilers show rs, so does the rear bumper, dash shows just camaro emblem, but engine is a 350 auto with rear disc breaks, also i just found the top of the hardtop seems to have had a hole which has now been plugged with a plastic insert any other things i should for, il post the rpo sheet tomorrow when i have better lighting thanks 4 the info

the vin should be at the top of the rpo sheet just make sure it matches your vin, but the way you describe it it defiently sounds like a b4c

thats a sweet find, talk about a sleeper and a half
im not fully familiar with the b4c package, what did it come with, im assuming it would have the 36 hollow/22mm sway bars, rear discs, but any other 1le type stuff?

Re: 91z28 b4c i believe i just bought one
yup according to my research it is actually a b4c car everythings adds up, but i've only had the car a few days, cars in good shape but does have some surface rust seems liek the car might of been out of state at soem point in its lifetime, originally i bought the car so i could drive it, somewhat fix up and enjoy it until my iroc was done being in and out the shop, this owuld take a few months, so i did not plan on keeping the 91 long, now im thinking which car would be a better choice to keep my 88 iroc or 91 rs b4c, since i can't realistically keep both it will be a hard choice i've had my iroc for years lot of time effort and tears invested already
heres a pic of the 91

high rise spoiler already taken off, stupid exhaust tips cut off as well
heres the iroc-z

needs a recoat of paint, and hsr tune

Here's a dumb question, why did you take the spoiler off, it was probably original on the B4C cars, but not for sure.

Re: 91z28 b4c i believe i just bought one
A B4C would not have come with a high rise spoiler. Also, more than likely, a '91 B4C will NOT be a 1LE car. It will basically be a '91 Z28 with RS badging and a normal spoiler. All of the '92 B4C's were 1LE car but not the '91's.

Could you post a larger picture or two of the B4C?
Thank you!

Re: 91z28 b4c i believe i just bought one
about the high rise thats original to the z28, but whatever the case the high rise isnt my style, the 16" wheels are aslo coming off this weekend and 17" american racing rims are going on from my other camaro, im still thinking whether to keep the original rims or sell them as style wise i have no use for them, other then to keep the car original in case i ever sell, still comtemplating whether to keep stock or add my personal touches any input, opps also rs grill already off as well and replaced with iroc grill, rs grill wasn't cutting it looks wise

lol I was thinking the same thing.
As for the OP I'd say to keep the IROC cause it seems your changing everything about the B4C any way. in a about an hour and a half it won't be a B4C anymore, just an RS with a plugged hole in the roof. If your going to destroy the car then just get rid of it.

Re: 91z28 b4c i believe i just bought one
ya i wouldnt tear into a B4C car.
i would mod a 1le because those were meant to be raced anyways, but the B4C car would be a lot better off in the hands of someone who wants to restore it to stock
those 3 digits could probably bring you a descent bit of cash more then you spent on it too, which is more money to spend on the iroc

Re: 91z28 b4c i believe i just bought one
yeah as much as i hate to do so i believe i have to leave the b4c stock, theres plenty of odds and ends that i must fix which will occupy some time, the biggest being an exhaust leak, i'l most likely have to part with the car eventually after i get some good use and fun out of, but eventually i will have to part with it as i cannot possibly leave a car stock , im sure i will hate to see it go but theres not enough room for this one as of now, have 3 cars the 88 iroc a 72 monte carlo and now the 91
