ok so is there any way to get the RPO codes from the vin? my car did not have a center console when i got it so i dont have the rpo sticker.

second, is there any way to get the stickers on the drivers door reprinted? unfortunately i need to replace my door due to rot and want to save them.

You are out of luck. Dealer info has long since been deleted from the Dealers data base & including GM's.

 

You can contact GM Historical services, pay them $50, and they will get you a copy of the invoice, which has all the RPO codes and cost. Do a search for invoice to get the threads that touch on that subject.

As for the door stickers, you probably will not be able to reproduce them. I haven't heard of a true replacement yet. There are people duplicating them, but they aren't even on a sticker if I remember correctly.

How do you contact GM historical servces? I am a GM employee and have tried to get info on my 82 and been told it doesn't exsit. Records wern't well kept till 84 is what I was told by GM TAC and I was pretty much SOL.

He does great work, and it is a perfect reproduction, he made the door jamb, SPID, and VIN security stickers for my Formula a few years back, highly recommended.

As far as the list of RPO codes, you can try to call the PARTS dept of your dealer, they use a different system then the Service dept, they may be able to still access '86 info but I am not sure.

 

2 months ago, I went into my local Chevy Parts Dept. to get RPO codes for a third gen I was thinking about buying. Gave them the Vin # and got a printout a few minutes later. So, it still works, and well worth the time.

The GM Dealers in area my wont help me and they tried to sell me a new car instead. PHS does not make door stickers and Russ will not respond to my emails!!! If I did not go through the list. I would not have asked!!!

 

You never stated that you did try all the above options. You only stated that you still needed the stickers made.
