washer fluid bottle motor

When I bought my car in about 4 years ago or so the windshield washer fluid never would spray out of the nozels or whatever they`re called.I couldnt get it to work so I removed it and mounted my msd box there. Now I`m trying to get it to work again.I have misplaced the stock bottle so I dont know if the motor was mounted on the bottle or somewhere else. From what I can tell most cars like mine had a bottle top with a hose coming off of it into the bottle. If so,where was the motor.I found a bottle with a motor mounted on it but cant find any wires to hook to it.I`ve done a search.Anybody had to mess with this thing and get it to work.

Re: washer fluid bottle motor

Are you talking about the one that goes inside the grill behind the bumper? The bottle I got is from an older 4th gen I think but it goes on the fender well like my stock one.I dont want to do away with my stockish tpi air cleaner that I have set up somewhat like a ramair and it already brought in coler outside air from the factory. If you still have yours how is the motor on it,or do you remember if it has been removed?

Re: washer fluid bottle motor

Is the washer fluid motor a part of the wiper arm motor on some cars?

This sounds like a good technical question. You might get even more answers posting in the https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/tech-general-engine/ section.

Re: washer fluid bottle motor

Never mind figured it out.Up to 87 has a motor that plugs into the wiper arm motor. After 87 or atleast in 90 they go to a motor mounted on the bottle. Thanks anyhow.
