Re: RPO 18N

Camaro Z Man stated correctly on code 18N - CHcv.This translates to interior color - charcoal and type - custom vinyl. Leather wasn't a factory option in '82 - as far as I know.

Re: RPO 18N

18 indicates a color
N indicates something like Trim combination of some sort... I found Vinyl... Your seats may have been originally Vinyl, or possibly the shifter boot... not sure really. the N is unusual honestly...

Re: RPO 18N

Bowtiebruiser the dual muffler setup is RPO-N10. It was more commonly found on CFI cars.

Positraction (RPO-G80) was ordered on 22,074 Camaros in '82 (Camaro Whitebook). I would imagine the majority of that number would have been Z28s.

On the rear wiper(RPO-C25 14,031total) I've seen a handful of cars personally with it over the years. It would be nice to have but many believe it disturbs the flow of the body.

The LG4/4 speed is neat to have as the T10 is a great trans. A friend of mine got a new '82 Z28 as a late graduation present with that combo.

Now on the leather trim ,as far as I know, would have been an aftermarket addition. The closest to it is if the Pacecar Replicas seats have leather trim - I'm not sure about this though.

Re: RPO 18N

No leather until 87. It was high grade vinyl as the base seats, with fabric as the upgrade. My 82 and 83 both had charcoal vinyl. I like 'em because they were easy to keep clean and didn't get the cracked look that leather gets. I wasn't very impressed when I went to look at a later year and the dealer said the vinyl seats were no longer available and the cheap fabric interior was the base. My 82 was fully loaded with every option except fabric seats.

Re: RPO 18N

just to chime in,
My 83 T/A has a Double muffler setup with a crossover... It was an LG4 car. I had no idea it was it actually an option... unfortunately its badly rusted...

Re: RPO 18N

Okfoz I had the same problem the iping is in good shape but the mufflers were toast. I just had piping welded in the place of the mufflers till I figure out what to do with the exhaust. The 11.5:1 compression 385 isnt liking the 1 5/8 inch primaries of it's headers or the 2 1/2 inch collector and piping for that matter
