SPID RPO Decode

I have been seeing conflicting information on my RPO codes and some things don't seem to mesh. I am seeing codes for things that are only available one way yet they show up conflicting that way in my SPID sticker. Also I am seeing conflicting information about my color. According to Willie's breakdown Gray was never available for the Trans Am in '84. Yet I have a gray car and I am seeing conflicting information about the color of the car. I will say this, there is absolutely no evidence of a repaint on this car.

Anyway I thought I did throw a photo of the sticker up here and have y'all give it a shot. Eventually I will probably go to PHS but I thought I did let you guys have fun decoding it.

see attachment (i've never been able to figure out how to post the photo on the thread itself)

Your paint codes are along the bottom of the SPID sticker.. Your paint was enamel and the lower (L) and upper (U) colors are the same - 9322

If you do a Google search for WA 9233, you'll see it's charcoal grey and was available on GM cars in 1984.

Re: SPID RPO Decode

Definately recheck what Willie stated. I'm not familiar with his statement, but I know for a fact that Grey was available on the 84 TAs. A friend in high school had one when it was new. It was a very nice car.

Re: SPID RPO Decode

I've seen several gray '84 T/As over the years. Seems to be pretty common to me. One of my friends has a Grey/L69/W62/WY6 '84 T/A that he bought from the original owner back in 1987 with about 10,000 miles.

My uncle had a 84 Charcoal gray TA. He bought new in '83.

Re: SPID RPO Decode

I apologize to Willie for the confusion but I believe it was WildJeff's early bird decode that brought that color question up here it is in his decode. "Dark Sand Gray Metallic (Firebird, S/E) 82."

Ok that question is settled, thanks guys, now anyone wanna give the rest of the RPO codes a shot? Some of them are not known to the TGO decoder.
