Need stock 5.7 IROC engine bay pics!
I am in the process of restoring my IROC to close to original as possible and want to make sure all the parts, hoses and wiring are present and in the right places. Diagrams can only go so far. Pictures are a lot better.
So,if you have an unmolested (if that exists) 88 or 89 5.7 IROC, I really need some close up and clear pics of the passenger side of the firewall and right side of the engine (where the emissions and vacuum hoses are routed).
Thanks in advance!

I guess it would also help to know what year you are looking for... Each year was similar, but there are differences because of different systems,
1985 is probably unique
1986 & 1987 should be similar
1988 woiuld be unique
1989 would be unique
1990 - 1992 should all be similar.
Hope that helps.

Thanks for the responses so far, guys! Still looking for an 88 or 89 close up on the passenger side. The things in particular I am wanting to see mounted are the EGR valve solenoid and stock coil. My car was pretty hacked up when I got it so these parts were either replaced with aftermarket or removed along with their brackets and what not.

Re: Need stock 5.7 IROC engine bay pics!
Yeah im tryin to do the same with my 87 IROC-Z. 350 5.7 LITER TPI. 700R4 TRANS. Which im probably goin to have to replace or rebuild the transmission. But i have been using the haynes repair manuel but it does not have really any good engine pics of my car. Alot of my houses are not even hooked up and it is alot easier to look at a car like yours to know where stuff goes given that the engine your lookin at is the same as yours.

Re: Need stock 5.7 IROC engine bay pics!
Thats a nice ride bro! yeah Alot of my hoses were disconnected and IM missing i guess it is some type of engine cooler or something that is in front your A/C compressor under your hood among other things right know im probably goin to have to get my transmission rebuilt or somethin I tried to readjust the tv cable I hope I did it right it aint as easy as people say and I just changed my transmission fluid and tranny filter and i put a new MAF sensor in it and new spark plugs and wires and I'm bout to change the fuel filter. I just got two new front tires last week and getting the other two monday they are expensive they are kumho i think thats how you spell it there was only one place in town that sells p245/50rv16s. Anyways im pretty sure my transmission is slipping when in drive. I also think i need a new distributer cap. Im new to fixin up my car cuz I just got my license back. but my IROC-Z is my first car i just wished i would have taken better care of her when i first got her. but shes a good project. oh yeah what type of gas do you use and tranny oil etc...?

Re: Need stock 5.7 IROC engine bay pics!
Sorry, I don't mean to hijack the thread, but I have a quick question. My buddy is looking at this 1991 Z28 on ebay. It says it has a 5.7 liter in it, but in the pics I noticed that it doesn't have the runners on the TPI. Would there be a reason for this?

In regards to that car, If i'm correct, I ran a carfax on a previous time this person has tried to sell this car and it came back as being a clean title car that had a recorded previous accident.
I'm almost sure because My father was Really interested in it.

dang, way to clean! I was looking at the washerfluid hose routing.. weird that its sooo close to the engine..
Not going to say yours is wrong at all, because all cars are a lil diff, but dont most cars route it along the fender then firewall to the pump??
