1989 Style Build Sheets - Post up pictures/scans
I'm working on reproducing the build sheets used at the Van Nuys plant for the 1989 Turbo Trans Am and I'm not sure how many was actually used to build one single car ... these would have been (with different option codes of course) used for every car built in 1989 (and earlier/later as well).
Anyway so far I got the CNSL and V33 ones done there's a TRIM one and at least one more that I know of but I would need good high resolution scans of any of them and any others to be able to complete the collection of build sheets used ...
If any of you found them and can get a high resolution scan done I would be much greatful.
I'm also clue less as it comes to two things on these build sheets (and as mine is ruined I can't read this portion for my car).
Top left corner there's SCHEDULE/JOB and I figured out the last 6 digits for this as it corresponds to the rivited ID plate on the upper radiator support but what should the 2 digits before the hyphen be on the build sheets??
And underneath this one theres a six digit number D.P.NUMBER and I have no clue what this might be, I do have the original invoice etc for my car but can't find this anywhere on those documents so if anyone out there know what this is and where to find it would be great.
Attached see the PDF's of the two I've reproduced so far for my 1989 t-top/leather/ none CA emission TTA

nice work. I put together a template for the earlier style awhile back. There are similar numbers on the earlier style build sheets and I'd also like to know how they are used too.

Cheers ...
Anyone have these type of buildsheets and could post up some high res images of other types found in your cars??

Along these same lines, does anyone know what font is used on the original invoices? I did notice that each letter takes up the same width space if it's a "w" or an "i". I reproduced my invoice as close as I could get it, but the font isn't perfect and the spacing is slightly off. If we can get all of this together, we might be able to start reproducing the original for show purposes.

Courier is close but not quite the same, there are some small differences, but I'm pretty sure it's a member of the courier family. You want a non-proportional font. It will have the same spacing for each letter.
I have been looking for a font for the build sheet but they were printed with dot matrix and the dot matrix fonts are not close enough. I've been experimenting with making my own font but that take time.

Re: 1989 Style Build Sheets - Post up pictures/scans
Do you know if they changed style in 1989? I've seen one from a 88 GTA and it's the earlier style .... so I was wondering if the style I found and reproduced would been introduced for the 1989 model year maybe?

I think they did change the style, but don't know when. all the ones I have seen from 91 and 92 are like the one you posted.
