Anything worth saving beyond reason here...
I picked up an '88 Trans-Am about a month or two ago in pretty rough shape. It didn't run, had sat under a tree for about 4 years and rusted badly in the t-top area and firewall area where the leaves collected, and overall, had filled with water from rain in Florida. Overall, left to die under said tree. I picked it up cheap enough thinking I could get it running and at least part it out, but I keep finding little things that make me want to keep it and drive it eventually. I was just curious if anyone else thought it might be worth the effort here and there or if I'm just crazy...which is entirely possible. I will post the RPO sheet below. It's a LB9 with the WS6 suspension, aluminum drum rear posi brakes, but only has 82K original miles and once I replaced the fuel pump and charged the battery, it runs and drives pretty good. Had to free up the fron calipers some and replace the flex hoses, but aside form that, it seems pretty solid mechanically...it's just the rust that's making em debate it. Anyway, sorry for the novel, just curious what others thought. RPO attached below:

Decent rust free bodies are too easy to come by in the Southeast to spend too much on one with rot. I'd find a base model or V6 with a good body and swap over-sell the left over stuff. Just my opinion.

Yea, maybe I'll just seal up the leaks as best as I can, drive it til the rust comes back worse and trash the body to swap all of it over to another donor body. Just clean up what's there and daily drive it so to speak until it dies cosmetically. I just hate condemning these cars :-p
