I haven't heard of a 91 pro am, but maybe they do exist. Car looked alright but unless it truely is a rare car then I dont think it will pull 19k. TTA's go for about that.

I just searched the forums and found that they were made by Choo Choo Customs. While this one isnt as ugly as most other 3rd gen Choo Choo creations at least this one is a T/A and not a base 'bird. I agree that they are dreaming on that price.

it has 91k miles, high mileage for anything collectible except for the rediciously rare. The interior is dorty and stained too, and the paint under the hood was not even touched up with the paint job. Not worth near the asking price IMO.

Re: 1991 Trans Am "Pro Am"?
It's unfortunate that what makes the car unusual is a not exactly attractive cosmetic package. The hood shaker looks like the Bandit II stick on. The Pro Am vinyl looks terrible. The wheels actually look more modern then anything Choo Choo Customs usually used. They usually used at best 15" wheels. The dash plaque and seat embroidery is typical of the Choo Choo conversions. I really think it'd be a much cooler car if it were just a normal every day Trans Am.
The price seems about three times too high for a 91 Trans Am and it's got all that goofy crap stuck to it. I'll pass, but thanks.

Re: 1991 Trans Am "Pro Am"?
I think if the car was sold under GM license at GM dealers like the Tojan or Firehawk, it might have some value...
I looked around the net too and don't see any info on it being a GM authorized model that could be ordered from any GM dealer. So, it appears that Choo Choo Customs weren't an official GM partner.
Also, the brass plaque in the pictures looks like something you can get from any trophy shop/engraving shop. Kinda cheap

Re: 1991 Trans Am "Pro Am"?
I remember the pro am's!! Coo Coo Customs was out of TN. so Its mostly southern cars u see with there kits. They did mostly trucks. They did an elcamino package back in the 80's that actually looked good. Never cared for the pro am it was just an over did firebird. As for being a real gm package no it wasnt. Dealers just pulled what cars they had in stock to send to them for the packages just another way to add more to the sticker

Re: 1991 Trans Am "Pro Am"?
The Knudsen Cars IE Tojan & Carrallo were not GM offerings... They may have worked with dealership and the cars were sold as new with the modifications, but like the Autoform convertibles, and the other pile of non factory Convertibles, they were sold through dealer channels, not GM channels. The only aftermarket offerings which were approved by GM was the ASC Convertibles that have a VIN of 3, and the Firehawk that I can think of off the top of my head...
