I'm gathering reference material on these - I'd be very grateful for high-resolution or close-up pictures of said stripes, especially in red flavor.

Is that thin black on the bottom, wide orange center and wide red top? What's the width of the entire thing (all three colors) on the doors, and what's the width on the rear bumper?

And again, pics please, if anyone has them.

Also, I have an idea: After seeing how much rust was there under the factory vinyls I scraped off during restoration, I'm thinking it would be better just to PAINT those things instead. Decent rattlecan paint and rattlecan clear top coat, a bit wider than the color? If there's a slightly visible ridge at the edge of the clear coat, it will look no different than the edge of the factory vinyls, anyway.

Also, wouldn't this look better and last longer than vinyl? (and perhaps allow for a little metal flake flavor added to the mix).

Opinions? Yes? No? I'm stupid?
