I've got these 2 codes on my 88 iroc-z tpi:
E5Z = speedometer adapter (delete)
E9Z = speedometer key (delete)

What do they mean?

Unfortunately no one really knows, its one of those things that almost all Camaros have from 1987ish & on...

Re: RPO E5Z and E9Z?

I've seen these now on a 1992 Formula and a 1987 base model Firebird. I've never known what they've meant, but they seem to be pretty common.

Re: RPO E5Z and E9Z?

I wonder if they aren't deletions of mechanical speedo provisions in the 1987 on up Firebird clusters. That's about all I can think of. The speedo cable, and the clip thing on the end aren't present in cars with electronic speedos. Camaros on the other hand used mechanical speedos longer.

That's about all I got.
