I have a 1985 HO emblem which i purchased back in 1993. It has a plastic back with sticky tape and is in no way a decal. This is the correct emblem only placed on 1985 HO models and unlike the earlier year HOs.

I just purchased a sticker decal from ebay and to my surprise they do not match. At least the fonts do not match.

The decal i purchased on ebay says '5.0 liter H.O.'

My 1986 (time-correct) emblem has '5.0 LITER H.O.' This is written in cursive so it's hard to explain. I'll try to get a pic uploaded, but the 'I' and 'T' (and maybe the 'E') are in caps and flow one to the other without a break between.

So, the question is...was there a font change for the 1985 body changes?

It'd help to know which decal you're talking about... dash? rocker? air cleaner?

Geez, i guess that would help...

Talking about the rear bumper marker.... from what i can tell... the 83-84 HO were stickers and the 85-86 rear were emblems.

Wondering if these were different fonts?
