I need some center caps for these wheels...I don't mind if they do not say IROC or Camaro on them, just plain jane black center caps for THESE wheels...:

i got mine from ebay ...

 

im not sure which ones i need, they have ones in diff sizes the come from the inside out, and ones with clips that go on the outside....

could you poss find them and link me?

They used those wheels all the way from 82-92 on the base model Sport Coupe, RS, Z28, and Iroc.

Most of the cheap knock off Ebay caps don't have the spring steel clip inserts. Instead they just have the plastic pins and clips. If you want the caps to stay on the wheels and be the same quality as OEM, look for either used, NOS, or GM restoration parts. The cheap caps WORK, they just expect a lot from molded plastic.

 

i've had mine about 6 months with no problems . i was worried when i ordered them but they seem to be fine .

 

I sold the set of those wheels I'd had since 1996 last summer. My buddy wanted black caps and different emblems, so he got a set of the generic caps off Ebay. They didn't want to fit without breaking. I had to get aggressive with them to make them snap into the wheel. I doubt they'll last many cycles of being removed and snapped back in. The plastic tabs just aren't flexible enough.

 

little correction from what drew said. the base model wheel that used these caps were only in the years hat the base model wheel was a 15" wheel. the 14" caps from the earlier years were different

 

Right... 82-87 they were Z28 only, 88 they were Sport Coupe, RS, and Iroc. 89-92 they were RS only. The 82-87 Sport Coupe steel wheels used a different cap that looks similar but won't even come close to fitting those wheels.

Worse yet there are three different 82-87 Sport Coupe caps. 82-84 have the clips on the wheels, 85-87 have the clips on the caps which snap into the lug nuts, and they were offered in both black and gray. Lots of variations to keep track of.

 

On the center caps are they just the caps or they have a plate to attach to
