What is this code D8F. I can only find it is a speed sensor but for what there was only 1,221 cars with this rpo code for 91.

Re: rpo code D8F
I did a search and found that there was 3 options for speed sensors what replaced what what is the advantage of each what is better?
Re: rpo code D8F
There are a handful of D8* codes for different vehicle speed sensors. The only time it matters is when ordering a replacement VSS. The advantage of one over another is that one will work with you car, and the other probably won't.

Re: rpo code D8F
why would they have multiple sensors for the same year same drivetrain doesnt make sense to me
Re: rpo code D8F
Does it really matter? The bottom line is that's how they did it. When you go to order a replacement VSS (even at the local auto parts store) the computer lists two or three options, each with about 3 RPO codes indicating which one it replaces. I've never seen a reason to look into it any further, when they go bad it's just easiest to order the right one and swap it out.
