Another RPO Codes ???
Still trying to put together the RPO codes for my 87, not having the sticker... I have most of them, but I was unaware that the NON-defog rear hatch had a unique code, which I can't find. I'm sure there are other codes I need to find, which is why I didn't put "Non-Defog Hatch RPO code" in the title. Also, if anyone knows the 87 spring codes for V6 front springs with the 700R4 and the C60 A/C option, could you let me know? I am aware all 4 corners had different codes. All I know is that the yellow label on the front springs (yes, they were still there after 24 years!) said BXR (yes, it was DEFINITELY a "B" ) on both, and there were no tags on the rears.
And, if I were to put up the code list I currently have, would someone check it? I don't know if I'll be able to get the sticker made (probably not), but I would at least like to have a (mostly complete) code list...

Re: Another RPO Codes ???
Spring codes are easy if you still have the tags. B?? are front springs, N?? are rear springs. On the SPID the first digit of the spring codes is replaced with a number to designate the location. 6 & 7 are front springs, 8 & 9 are rear springs. If your front springs say BXR on the springs, the RPO's would be 6XR and 7XR.

Ok, I got the list sorted on the springs, but still don't have the hatch code...

Keep in mind that the SPID codes are for ordering the correct parts when a car is serviced. Hit up your local GM dealer's parts counter. Have the counter monkey look up replacement hatch glass. In the system, the non-defrost glass will have a different RPO then defrost if they're different. If it doesn't reference a different RPO code in the description then don't worry about it.

LOL... parts monkeys...
Those idiots couldn't find their hind ends in a dark room with a spot light in most cases. Heck, it took them 3 tries to get me the right speedo DRIVEN gear and even then they got me one for a 700R4 (was looking for one for a T5). Went to a dealer in CT for fuel line o-rings and it took forever and a day to get them to find them in ANY catalog (morons at school working on my car because I wasn't allowed to decided that in order to check/replace a couple of things that they had to move the fuel rail and in order to do that they disconnected the fuel hoses from the lines instead of just moving the rail and letting the lines flex).
I'll see what I can dig up, but I don't think they're going to find anything...

Keep trying different dealerships until you find the old guy with the crazy hair, and wild eyes... He's usually the one with a pocket protector, who's been at the dealership since it opened. I'd recommend small town dealerships, the ones that have been there forever, with poorly lighted service departments. If you tell him what you're after and he says he's going to look in his computer and refers to it with a woman's name, you've got the right guy.
