What is this plate?
Hey guys, this should be a very easy question but I cant find the answer. What is the number on the plate on the radiator support panel? Can I throw it away?
Thanks

I would just write it down somewhere, I see no reason you would need to know it, but on the off chance you ever do you will still have it, certainly no reason for it to "need" to be on the car, the only required # to be on a car is the VIN and license plate.

Thanks for the super quick reply. I figure the same, I dont think it's something that I have to have on the car so it will be coming off. But I am curious to know what the number represents. It seems unusual that its in such a highly visible location

Re: What is this plate?
A search on 'body tag' will provide some info. Some cars apparently have them, some don't (My 85 IROC didn't).
