1984 3rd gen camaro racecar questions

I'm not quite sure where this goes.
I just purchased this diecast model.

What fascinates me most about it is that, according to the description, the car was raced in 1994, but I can not find any details on the actual (real) car anywhere.

If cars like these were raced in 1994, does anybody know in what series they were raced. or was it a one time (promotional) event?

Does anyone have information on the cars, the specifications (looks like tubular chassis, with a carburated SBC as far as the model is accurate enough to show these details) and what happened to the actual vehicles?

Does anyone know where to find pictures of these racecars, or better still, video footage?

That car was race by Dale Earnhardt Jr. in the NASCAR Late model division 1994-1996 (not sure if it was still that car by 1996?) it is a full tube chassis asphault circle track car. it would be one or two classes below NASCAR's Nationwide series today. Very cool find!

pics are really hard to find of these cars, but here's some I found.

Re: 1984 3rd gen camaro racecar questions

Thnx for the info.

That sure does explain why itīs so hard to find anything. Itīs like the big league games ending up in the media and the little league games.... not so much.

That last picture shows the original paintscheme. The model I purchased uses the same graphics but on a brushed metal underground. That makes it kind of like a fantasy paint. I guess that is also the reason why the model with the original paint costs about twice as much on Ebay.
