black and gold 87 T/A

Hi all well i have a 87 T/A and the body is all black and has gold gfx kit on it and all the stickers on it are gold and it has the motor size on the gfx kit gold rims not the GTA rims but like the factory T/A rims just gold my question is from all i can find there is no spichel black and gold T/A in 87 dose anyone know if ther really was or not any info would be great thanks this winter i am going to start to restore it so i will be here for a long time lol

In the two tone years, the GFX and trim were generally either silver or gold. So it's normal for a car with gold GFX to have gold decals and wheels, etc. The black and gold color combo wasn't any special package in 87. Sorry. That said it still sounds like a neat car. Are the gold wheels the 20 slot concave 15" wheels or the 20 slot convex 16" wheels?

Dont see many black/gold '85-87 bird's,or even black/gold Camaro's !!

These are getting pretty scarce IMO

It's more expensive to repaint the GFX a contrasting color, and mono-tone looks more modern.

There was no black special edition Trans Am by 1987. As far as I know the 1984 Recaro T/A was the last Y84 black special edition Trans am. For '85-86 the Recaro option was reduced to an interior option.

The Y84 RPO code was reassigned to the new Trans Am GTA option beginning in 1987.

ok they are the 15 20 slot wheels as soon as i get my phone back i will post pics
