Z28 Wheel Cap Inserts

I have a set of new GM wheel cap inserts that I bought years ago. They have Z28 in three shades of silver on a black backgound. I bought them for an 82. What other years were these installed on from the factory?

Thanks for knowledgeable replys Gents.

Re: Z28 Wheel Cap Inserts

These caps were used on the 82-87 Z28s. The 88-92 Sport Coupe, RS and some IROC-Zs used the same rim, but the cap could've been light grey or black with a different center logo center piece. The logo just snaps in, so the caps are good for the 15" rims from 82-92.

Re: Z28 Wheel Cap Inserts

I would suspect 82-87, when the Z28 was available with 15" wheels

I think he's talking about the specific Z28 inserts, isn't he?

Re: Z28 Wheel Cap Inserts

If you carefully read what I wrote, I did mention that the 82-87 Z28 for these caps. However, the center cap itself can be used on any car with 15" rims from 82-92 and just the logo center needs to be replaced. If somebody needs a cap, but has the logo piece, they can use these also. The cap themselves usually break when somebody installs them incorrectly and the little stud breaks off. Over time, the plastic gets brittle and breaks. Since I know the future of these caps, I figured I would help the OP with advertising what they can be used for other than what are specifically for today.

Oh, I get it!!!! I'm not reading carefully! He has just the inserts, not the caps.

82-87 Z28 only!

Yes, till the end of model year. I'am sure GM ran some more for warrenty replacement, over-the-counter, etc, just as all manufactures do.
Thanks.

I think GM discontinued them somewhere around 2010. The GM PN# is 14035332.

Yep, #14035332 is for the inserts and #10154284 are the caps. I've got 4 of each so I guess I'll offer them for sale some time in the future.

Is there much call for them these days?
