This is my first post here and my first Camaro but I was curious what the rpo code is for a 5.7 (350)? I recently just purchased my Camaro but I don't think its the original engine, its a rebuilt 350 .20 over with a rv cam, I've got paperwork from the rebuild I just have a sneaking suspicion its not original. Anyway I'm a full time mechanic in northern az, hopefully by the end of Feb it will be a 12 second car

 

There is 2 RPO codes for a 350. One is B2L and the other is L98. If you have one, you'll have the other. But, since you car is a RS, it wont be a 350 car from the factory. Only Z28's got them.

 

Right on, I appreciate the help. I just looked up the rpo, apparently it was a 305 car originally. I've got a 350 out of a Silverado I'm guessing, its got the same tbi setup anyway. Has anyone successfully gotten rid of the Air system?

 

You can just disconnect the AIR system. It won't throw any codes. Some people here are really passionate about leaving the AIR system.

Right on, thanks for the help guys. Apparently the previous owner gutted the cat so ill be ditching that as well. Where I live there is no emissions testing
