Camaro "ws6" options?

Did third gen Camaros ever have the same suspension and horsepower components as firebird ws6's? would that just be a z28? I don't know much about camaros. Also, what was the t5 torque/horsepower rating? how long would one last with an ls1?

The IROC was Chevrolet's "equal" to the Pontiac WS6. And back then, WS6 was just a suspension package.

And a T5 won't bolt up to a LS. If it would, it wouldn't last a single launch unless you babied it & drove it like a Grandma.

What about after they stopped making IROCs? wasn't that like 1990 or '91? I'd like to get a 1991 Z28 for sentimental reasons (my deceased dad had one)

I figured. If I do get a third gen, I'd like to drop an 1998-2002 LS1 in it. the A4 would be ok right?

If your thinking a LS swap, start here. You pretty much can't ask a question that isn't already answered unless it is about a new product.

"IROC "was under license from the International Race of Champions as the Pace Cars. When the Camaro was dropped as the Pace car in 91, the Dodge Shelby (iirc) became the IROC car so Chevrolet "only" had the z28.
