Early Third Gen Concept?

Anyone know when the first pics / talk of the 3rd gen design made news? We knew of the new mustangs/ camaros years before they actually hit showrooms... Would be interesting to see or read...

IIRC,Late 70's and "Test Ground" spy shots of driving test mules hit around 1979/1980 ish lol

And referring to the prototype bird,They had the 2gen side mirrors and 2nd gen wheels lol

This is from a old motor trend magazine,I read in my HS library back in the day lol
