Any one have a notchback 'Bird?

 

Yes, I have an original Notchback GTA as does Frankie Rider II - ThirdGen member and also founder of GTASourcepage. I know there's also a few other members that have one as well.

 

Dang, nice. Are those pretty rare? Sounds like it. Not much info on them here, kinda weird something this unique wouldn't have more information on this site. What kinda engines were offered on them? You have any pics up?

 

There was a total of 718 in 1988. They have the same engine options available as the GTA (350 TPI with Auto, 305 TPI with Auto or 5-speed manual). The Notchback was simply an appearance package that was only available on the GTA, so besides the fiberglass decklid and the special rear seat tops (which also was later used on the 1989 Turbo Trans Am), the Notchback is a GTA elsewhere and shares the same features of a GTA.
