I remember a magazine I had in about 93-94 that had a red twin TPI car in it with a big block I think. Six speed too I belive... And they were calling it a ZL1. It's all a little foggy in my memory but I know I didn't dream it up. Anyone remember this car?

 

Yup, dual plenum and dual Tbodys on a bigblock if I remember correctly.

I have the car and driver august 96 magazine with that zl1 in it. 572ci, 725Hp 710ft/lbs torque, 5 speed, 4.11 gears. 12.5/127.7 quarter mile. The article also includes a 95 Monte rear wheel drive467hp, and a few others. The article is called Inside Chevys Secret Toy Box.

 

I would love to get in that toy box as well-looks like a ton of fun.

 

There was also a TV special showing Ford build the BOSS and GM build the ZL1 and the competition also. Was interesting. At one point the Camaro blew the rear out, and they swapped it right at the track.
