So earlier today I got an email from someone wanting to trade me a 305TPI 5 speed B4C. I can't get compnine to work right now and I'm hesitant about the guy telling me the option code is in the center console (we know how easy they are to change) if someone could check the vin and help me out that'd be awesome.

You should always Carfax it if you can before you buy a car. I checked that vin and all it will show me Is that it is a 1991 Camaro Z28. But you'd have to buy the Carfax to find everything out because it shows the car has 19 service records available so it would certainly be valueable information. It could reveal it has a clean record or it has an ugly past.

Based on the VIN, carfax identifies all TPI camaros as Z28s.

I ran carfax on mine when I got it and it showed the same.

I was able to get a copy of the dealer invoice from GM heritage to assist in my documentation of the car.

I havent and will probably not tear it apart to search for a build sheet....

I actually took a pass on this car. Just wasn't how it was supposed to be. But I appreciate all the help everyone.
