82 T/A questions

Car: 1988 camaro
Engine: 383
Transmission: 700R4
Axle/Gears: 3.42
82 T/A questions
looking at what the guys says is a 82 T/A, It has a 305 with a 4 speed. paint looks original, has the vents in the front fenders, but i noticed no scoop on the hood. Is there suppose to be? and what tranny should i find under it? The engine is the LG4. Any help would be greatly appreciated! thanks,scott

WEIRD!! That would make it the only pre-1993 T/A that didn't come with a different hood than the base model Firebird. Hope I can remember that, the hood is usually the first thing I look at when identifying these cars.

after looking underneath it, it does have the super T10. Looking at everything else, other than the hood, its screams t/a.

Lots of '82 T/As had flat hoods and 14" wheels. I suspect many get mistaken for a base Firebird or Firebird S/E from a distance.
