RPO Codes Link to decode your Service Parts Identification label
Below is a cool site I found to decode the Service Parts Identification label in the glove box or under the spare tire cover. Just click on the left side choices. I was able to verify the options on a car I am thinking of buying.

That site is using the same RPO code list that every other site listing codes has. The problem with that is that GM reused RPO codes over the years and when you see (91), they are specific to '91 only. RPO 86A is the black/silver stripe on the IROC-Z from 1985-1990. If you look at this list, it shows different colors. The code was reused because the Camaro wasn't using the black/silver stripe beyond 1990, so it was reused.

Good point that you make. Look at the (1C5) RPO that is commonly known in 3rd gen circles as the California Iroc used only in 1985 has now become a 4 cylinder, 5.7 c.i. Isuzu on this new list.

Went to that site.
Noticed a list to help find build sheet. Are these suggestions good for 3rd gens as well?
To find your build sheet and/or options label, you'll need to look at one or more of the following locations in your vehicle...
1) inside the trunk lid
2) in the back seat bottom cushion springs
3) sealed and attached to the top side of the fuel tank
4) inside of the glovebox door
5) under the hood
6) underside of the dash pad
7) under the front seat carpet area

Yes, and you might find it under the carpet in the rear footrest area... or you might never find it at all. Of all my cars I have never found one.
