I just want to know if you could get them factory? if not my dad can do it.
Haha we could also make the seats heated but i figured just a waste of time because I'll never use it.

RPO code AC3 is for Adjuster, 6-way Power Bucket, Driver Seat
RPO code AG9 is for Adjuster, 6-way Power Seat
In 1990 it was part of "Preferred Equipment Group 3", the highest level. It cost 2,143 for the PEG 3 option. It also included:
Air Conditioning
AM/FM Stereo Radio w/SK & SC, Cassette, Digital Clock, w/Extended Range Sound System (not BOSE)
Power Windows
Driver's Side Power Seat
Power Door Locks
Elec Speed Control w/Resume
Power Hatch Release
Elec Twin Rem Sport Mirrors
Rear Compartment Cover (anyone still have their retractable "shade")
Body Side Moldings
Color-Keyed Front & Rear Carpeted Floor Mats (no logos on mine)
Mirror w/Dual Reading Lamps

I thought Firebirds were available with passenger side power seats (as well as the driver's side). I was going to try to retrofit the power seat tracks into my Camaro at one time.
This was a long time ago and the memory has faded some what.

Yup, back when these cars were new and I was test-driving them looking for one to buy, a few of the Birds had em as well.
Can't recall about 82 because the drive trains were so totally underwhelming (LG4 or LU5, and 200C) that I never even got past that and looked any further at any other features. Paid them no further attention whatsoever. Wasn't until the L69 came out (late 83 model year) that they were worth any further consideration, as far as I was concerned.
It's BEYOND EASY to install the power mechanism onto any seats. 4 bolts. All they need then, is battery & ground. Battery is available at a little "terminal block" thing on the kick panel up above the hood cable, in fact that's where the factory hooked it up, along with power mirrors, power door locks, power windows, etc.

Good luck putting the driver's mechanism on the passenger side. It might fit, but it's going to be hard working those switches.

Right: you'd have to get a pass side base to make a pass side seat, obviously. The same thing would apply to fenders, doors, and so forth.
I've never seen a power pass side seat in any 3rd gen of either sticker package & sheet metal wrinkle set, but that's A LONG WAY from claiming they don't exist.
4th gen seat bases are the same, except for the connector on the harness; might be something available there that could be used, since they're a direct bolt-up. Although, in the set of 4th gen seats I currently have at least, the pass side wasn't power even though the driver's side was. (just like 3rd)

I've never seen a passenger side power seat in a third gen. I posted the two RPO codes listed in my FSM for 1990 that have anything to do with seat adjusters. I have both AC3 and AG9 printed on my console RPO sticker, so I guess that pretty much proves that there were no passenger side power seats in 1990 since I only have the driver's side in my car.
EDIT: Also the FSM doesn't indicate there being an option for a power passenger's seat and the same goes for the harness schematic and location pictures that I've seen. I'd sure like to find a base that fits and looks decent to put one in the passenger's side.

Though some early Birds were equipped with an L/S Conteur, or something like it, no thirdgen in my experience ever had a pass side power seat--if there is point me to it as I'd love to have one. The pass side floor pan, which is different from the driver's side, may have something to do with the issue.

You may be able to adapt 4th power passenger side to thirdgens.
Unless it was a GM testing or "Prototype" thing,I think it's safe to say NO passenger side power seat was ever available on our cars.

The GTA lumbar seats had power on both sides. I just added gta seats to my 92 Z vert. The harness goes from the driver seat to the passenger seat. It has the round switch with the 4 dimples on it for the lumbar control. Never seen a camaro with power passenger seat though.

But the GTA seats were manual to move front to back and had a tilt function as well. The only power controls were for the lumbar supports.Originally Posted by abray1

I have a theory that it's all about power distribution and current requirements for the power seat. Right now a 35 Amp circuit breaker powers the seat, door locks and rear defogger. This circuit parallels the stop light 20 Amp fuse. My guess is that the rear defogger is the deal breaker for having dual power seats since it uses so much power on its own. Two seats in operation would draw allot of current and would require upstream changes to the circuit possibly including fusible link B.Originally Posted by Beater79TA

I never thought about it much till a buddy asked recently about a pass side power seat. Then I found this pic and began to wonder,...... has anyone ever tried to install a GN pass seat on a ThirdGen camaro pass floor frame ??

duel power seats are easy. People come by the shop all the time and get them installed in different cars and trucks. We are probably gonna do it to my RS and we are putting fog lights in and power mirrors.

a GN pass seat
Given that there's only a handful of GNs in the world, but MILLIONS of other cars with THE EXACT SAME features meaningful to seat fitment, I'd recommend not limiting your search to that. If a GN seat will fit, a Monte Carlo, Cutlass, Regal other than GN, or Grand Prix one from the same time frame will, too.a GN pass seat
Interesting

However many there may have USED TO be, a substantial # have been wrapped around trees, wore out by being rawhided until nothing is left, etc. etc. etc.
Not what would be considered as a "gold mine" of plentiful interior swap parts.
The '57 Chevy was BY FAR the highest production # model of car ever made, at the time. How many do you see today? If somebody said "all you gotta do is grab one off a '57" (talking about some kind of a USEABLE interior piece), how long do you think you would be looking, before you found one? Same deal here... doesn't matter how many there WERE, what matters is how many there ARE NOW, and of those, how many people are parting ways with the parts.
