how many different clusters

how many different gauge clusters came in the 85 camaros.I got a s/c and a berlineta. So I know for sure the 85 speedo type and the digital type in the berli.I'm wanting to take the 305 carb engine out of the berli and put it into the s/c.the ecm and engine harness have to go into the s/c.Question?will my stock gauges work in the s/c when I put the 305 ecm and engine in.Or do I need to find a different gauge and cluster harness.I dont really want the digital cluster in it if I can get a standered cluster.would perfer a 110 or higher.I got a 110 out of a 90 camaro rs.Now if I can plug and play my 85 cluster I will do that!!!!

Re: how many different clusters

There are 2 different styles of clusters in 3rd gen camaros.

82-89 <- mechanical speedo
90-92 <- electric speedo

You can swap a 90-92 style cluster into a 82-89 camaro, but it is alot of work. The dash is different. The cluster mounts different. The connectors are different. The speedo is different. There is some custom fab involved. Do a search, there are a few threads about it.

--edit--
as far as 85, I believe there is 4 different clusters?
Berilenta digital
base w/ idiot lights
full gauges w/85mph? Speedo
full gauges w/110mph? Speedo

Im sure someone will know the different speedos. I think you can swap just the speedo in that cluster? Someone with more knowledge on that would need to verify

The one thing I can add to this is that the full gauges w/110 mph were not on any 1985. The other three you listed were on them.

Re: how many different clusters

We had the 85 berli running the other day. It's smoking and has some blow buy.But no knocks or tics in the block.I did like the gauge cluster after I sean it in action.I got a 84 with a set I don't know if they work or not.may put them in and see how they do.
