Not sure how rare and I never heard that you could not get T-tops with a V6 in fact I'm sure that's not true as I have seen them many times. T-tops were an option for the F-bodies that has nothing to do with the engine.
Why do you want a v6? I have one and the only reason I got my v6 car is I wanted a cheap Camaro to work on that was not beat to death and all the v8 cars were so much more than they were worth and alot more beat. I have the LB9 V8 in my TA and the car is not fast, but comparied to my Camaro it's a rocket.

why not want a V6? they are awesome engines. cheaper to insure, dont have to buy as many plugs and wires more room to work under the hood and so on, im not looking for a track car why would i ever need to go faster than 110??(wich i have already done in my V6.) but thats beside the point.

Re: 1990 V6 camaro Ttop???
im not saying rare as is they are worth alot of money. but the production numbers are low. especially bein a 1990, i see all other years but none of the 1990 V6 with Ttops
Re: 1990 V6 camaro Ttop???
They made ~12,000 V6 1990 Camaros. At least 6,000, probably more, had t-tops as it was a popular option and overall ~50% of Thirdgens came with t-tops.
To put that into perspective, they made 12,000 base Firebirds in 1990 in total. I don't know the production numbers for V-6s, but looking at how popular the 305 option was in the Camaro I would guess that we'd be looking at maybe 6,000 total V-6s, and again, maybe about 3,000 or so have t-tops.
Compared to other "rare" Thirdgens they made a good number of 1990 V-6 t-tops Camaros. Only reason they are so uncommon today is due to a lack of desirability of the V-6.

If you want a v6 T-tops by all means get one, they are still cool cars and if you don't care about power and exhaust sound then a v6 car can look just as good as a v8 car.

Re: 1990 V6 camaro Ttop???
I get it there is alot more room under the hood and some of the parts are cheaper to get. Hey I don't hate my 3.1, but saying if I did not already have a V8 3rd gen I would not have got the v6 car. I have Nationwide and the 92 RS 3.1 costs the same to insure as my 87 TA V8.
