1992 Shift Ball
Working on my 1992 B4C 1LE, called the Chevy dealership in TN as I needed a shift ball and wanted to know if my car originally had a leather ball or a plastic ball. The car now has a T handle looked to be from a 1970 Judge. Gave the dealer the VIN, and he said it was a plastic black ball. Makes sense as the TX cars are all manual trans, crank window, strippers. Great to know. So next question, do you have one? He checks and says no they are discontinued.....and there is only one in the GM data base in Connecticut at Ramsey GMC. Tried to buy it then but he said since it is discontinued it can only be sold by the dealership in Conn. Called the dealership, and they sold me the last plastic shift ball in North America for a whopping $6.12!!! I am shocked to get one as I am sure there were not many warranty claims on a black plastic ball. Shipped to the house for 12.00 total
, cheaper than 4 gallons of gas. The cheapest thing I have ever bought at a dealer. You never know do ya?

Re: 1992 Shift Ball
Sounds like you got a deal. When I purchased mine (plastic covered with leather) several years ago, it was in the $20-30 range. Let us know if the one you receive is correct.
