Re: 1LE ... have you seen many ?

Considering that most were either special ordered by racers or collectors, I'd bet the majority of them have survived. In fact, my '89 came >this< close to being 1LE number 112. At the very last moment I decided I wanted AC since I intended it to be my daily driver.

With your 89's low miles...no A/C wouldn't have been too much a problem.

The original owner of my G92 also said it was the no A/C that made him go with the G92 w/ A/C option.

Yeah, but I didn't know I would keep it such low miles at the time. I figured I'd daily drive it for a few years and trade it in.

You never know.....

I saw an early 4th generaltion 1LE recently for sale in Las Vegas... black in color for 10k ish with 115k miles on it. It was for sale for awhile but I don't see it now. A third Gen would be the ticket I would think.

Re: 1LE ... have you seen many ?

The only third gen 1LE I have ever seen in person is mine...A black 1991 LB9 car with 65,000 mi. My brother owned this super rare 1998 1LE Firebird: http://ls1tech.com/forums/pontiac-fi...-firebird.html I wish I would have bought it when he sold it That's "the one that got away"

Just curious, what does this mean?

There are quite a few people on the forum that own them, some own a few.

There were 111 '89 Camaro 1LEs. Mine would have been 112, had I ordered it that way.

Got it. I wasn't sure if the 1989 1LEs were "numbered" like some of the later ASC cars. I know the 91s are not.

We should have a thread of non B4C 1LE cars on here, maybe a registry of some kind. I know there is a thread for the B4Cs and one for the R7Us. Just an idea.
