Naturally, I love this car, as its similar to mine. I hate how basic it is, though. If mine didn't have T-tops, power options, custom interior etc...I don't think I would've bought it.

Too bad it has AC... It could have triggered the 1LE if it was deleted...

Thats the unwritten rule Jason!! For some reason everyone had to save the thirdgens with many missing options and sport coupe seats. All the cars with unique options like L/S seats, analog clock, L69, are all beat to death.

That's why I love mine so much. Its EXACTLY how I would've ordered it (L98 with the mandatory extras like rear discs, posi etc, T-tops, custom interior, PW&L, cruise, rear defog, power antenna, grey on grey). While I would've liked a power seat, power mirrors and Bose, I doubt I would've paid for them if I'd ordered it new.

OK, I guess I would've added 3.27s Other than that, mine is perfect.

Re: 10,500 mile Gray 1988 IROC L98

I agree. I've got most of the option level 3 equipment in my 1988 IROC. I also got the custom leather interior as well. Ha ha granted my car is far from being a low mile original car but, I still would load up the options on my street car.

I still wish the person who originally bought my car had ordered the 3.27 gears. Although with gas prices as high as they are in California I can make a good economic case for leaving the original 2.77 gears in the rear end. At 70mph I'm only turning 1,900 rpm-2,000 rpm.

I know the interior isn't the best but, how many gray 1988 IROC's have you seen in this condition just running around? The guy still has the original gatorback tires as well. I wish they would remake those like they do with the Eagle GT tires. I just wish the reproduction tires didn't cost so much. On a car like this it would be worth the money to pop for original style gatorbacks so it would have the right look more or less. On everyday street cars I don't think the additional cost would be worth it though. There are more modern, better performing tires available that cost a lot less than a reproduction tire would.

I'd pick that baby up for 15k, well that is if I had 15k.

Yes I realize it doesnt have many options which is why I like mine because it has as far as I can tell every option except for the leather interior. However mine needs some restoration done to it lol
