We just got a 1987 Trans Am GTA, we are wondering how to find out as much as we can about this car. We were told that there have only been 2 other owners, is there a way to verify this? Also is there any way to find out where this car was originally sold? Any help finding out how to find out more on this car is greatly appreciated.

The invoice will show some dates and dealership information. It will also contain some RPO codes but not all that will be on the SPID. The SPID is located on the inside wall of the center console and has several 3-character codes that define the options the car has. Regarding amount of previous owners, probably a service like CarFax. But such services aren't considered very accurate.
