Need an opinion on buying a Camaro

A guy in my area has had a 92 RS for sale for a while now asking around $5000. It's a white, 305TBI, Auto, working original A/C hardtop with around 115,000 miles. It was basically given to him by a friend but he hasn't really been driving it much and wants it out of his driveway. He offered it to me for $3,500. Is that a good deal? Everything is tight, no lights on the dash, no cracks in the dash pad, interior is immaculate except for a dime sized hole in the pass. rear seat and a black mark on the pass. door panel. fuel pump, starter and battery were replaced. Hatch pull-down still functions. Engine bay is clean as anything. 2 owners. No rust. I went over the car a couple times. Only problems is has are the heater core was bypassed and needs to be replaced and the front lip paint is cracking a bit. Is this a good deal?

For $3500, if the paint is good and the floors are solid, I'd say why not.
