Question for the Firehawk experts?

Did GM use the firebirds 5speed console on some of the early Hawks?

Asking cuz I was scanning through an old Car craft magazine, issue august 91 and they did a road test on the Firehawk and in one of the pics it shows the firebird 5spd console.

None of the production cars had it, they all used custom consoles.

Oh ok was just wondering cuz I've seen pics of two hawks with 5 spd consoles but now I'm thinking it may have been the same car.

Kind of interesting. What's on that plaque between the shifter and window switches? It also has no decals, so maybe it was a tester? It could be one of the first hawks too, but just before having a few changes made for public release

The aluminum plate was on certain parts in the early days and was also sent when you ordered parts. It was modified to fit in the console, normally it is double sided taped to stick to whatever..
