I have been very confused with these wheels for quite some time.

My 1986 Trans am came from the factory with the GTA style wheels in black, and the GTA Trans Am came with the same wheels but in gold(obviously).

I have seen some cars with the same style wheels but in different colors like white and red. Did They come from the factory in these colors? Was it a rare option?

 

Yes, they where factory colors and I wouldn't say rare,just don't see many in RED or White.

Young Girl in my town years ago drove around in a 85-90 style Red t/a with red gta wheels


found out recently when the engine blew, she junked it for scrap !! :/

That's just wrong.

I love my red PW7s.

 

I know one of the 3 '88 1LE T/As was white, and had the white PW7 rims on it. It was sold new here in Arkansas, but when I saw it later at the TA Natonals the PWA rims had been changed to charcoal.
