UQ7 restoration question
So, very stupid question. I am restoring my UQ7 package, and i do not know were each wire/connector goes. The previous owner replaced the factory speakers with alpines, and he cut the wires going to each of the speakers. Which wire/connector goes to the sub, and which wire goes to the speaker?
(There is one connector that is held to the wall on each side, if you could refer to that one when you tell me which goes were that would be great.)

Re: UQ7 restoration question
I wish you asked this a month ago,I had all the panels out,I could have taken some pics for you.
Maybe you could use a tester, turn on the amp switch and see if it lights up,then turn it off to see if it goes out.

Re: UQ7 restoration question
for regular speakers it is as follows:
front: lt. green/dk. green; gray/tan
rear left: yellow/brown
rear right: lt. blue/dk. blue
subs are typically red/blk
I did what you did exactly one year ago, except mine was an entire update to the entire cabin wiring.
Because I like whole wires and my car had the switch, but no other uq7 specific stuff, I installed all the wiring by using a 4th gen harness, because it has many wires in it, I sourced similar colors in the lengths i needed and presto, it works. Using the entire radio harnes from a 4th to reapir a 3rd is not recommended as you need to source the terminals and to be really great with wiring. (that is what i did - I enjoy wiring)
Let me know if you need any help, always glad to help especially with cabin wiring upgrades
