83 Camaro Z28 vs. 83 Porsche 928 ???
Well, the Camaro won in some aspects... faster around the track, not quite the "handful" to control as the Porsche... brakes were worse on the Camaro... Oh, and $30k cheaper
Stated that the tq coming on in the low RPMs helped (Yahoo TPI!, though it was carbed).... I've heard of TPI's doing great in autocross due to short distances, torque @ low rpms, etc...

I agree! My car got put in the "modern class" at the last car show I went to.. even though its an antique at 25yrs old. I was beat out by a stock challenger some guy had just went out and bought and probably not even washed yet. I was agitated a bit being my car is in extremely good condition, 25yr old, and I turn wrenches on it myself.

We're into cars / thirdgens... those guys are into check writing as a hobby...
I was part owner of a car stereo shop for a while, and I could immediately tell when I stumbled upon a check writer... I knew more about his system from just looking at it than he did... You ask questions and they're like, "?"...
Now I'm no fabricator, I bought my Jet Hot coated Hooker 2055's (and a lot of other equipment), and some of it has been installed / welded in by "professionals", but I do also work on my car myself...
That I can appreciate...
I see these new 2015 Camaro's at the shows & I just walk by... I could go to the dealer to see that...
Hat's off to you for takin care of that thirdgen, so good that you took care of a 5th gen with a blower
