When I went to remove the worn out factory carpet from my 88 firebird formula, I found this little gem stuck under the passenger side foot well area. I take it this is a piece of the build sheet. Its a little different format than one other I found in another car. Any opinions.

 

It is not a build sheet at all, it is the build list they would have used in the assembly plant to know which car gets which interior.

It is not for just your car, rather it is for a group of cars.

 

I think the workers building our cars used them as trashcans on occasion.

 

It is one of the few times I am ever excited to find someones trash in my car...

That is awesome. I wish I was able to find stuff like that In my car.

 

That highlighted part for the carmine and gray was my car until the previous owner wanted a black interior and tried to dye and paint all the carmine red and gray parts black. Even the red carpet was sprayed. I could have sold all those red pieces for good money, darn shame. only thing that escaped it was the seats but they are worn down. I actually have them for sale on the forum. Ive got it all ripped out right now and taking my tan interior out of my rust bucket trans am and changing it over.

 

I'm jealous of anyone who has found stuff. I ripped mine totally apart for the first time ever last fall and found nothing
