DIY Dash Pad Repair....
I ran across this thread on a different site. I think these materials and techniques would work great on our cracked dash pads, as well as other interior plastics.

If I ever work up the energy, I may try it on a couple of small cracks on my unobtainium '83 dash pad.

When spike tv still had Musclecar, they showed a dash pad repair just like this in a 73 buick. I would be curious too see what the repair looks like in person. Another repair I've heard of on a 2nd gen site for minor cracking is to fill with jb weld and push down with another piece of dash to copy the texture.

Charlie I think the only cure for a cracked dash is a replacement. Trust me, I went through this already and I am still looking for a replacement.

Re: DIY Dash Pad Repair....
It was a 2 part epoxy used to repair plastic bumpers.
I forgot the name of it. Then you have to retexture and paint the pad. I even drilled the ends of the cracks so the cracks would not spread. It was a ton of work and in the end the crack returned. Don't do it. You have been warned.

Okay, I'll just cough up the couple hundred bucks for a new one.
